The new McLaren 675LT (Long Tail) is already confirmed for a Geneva debut, and McLaren now confirm its power and other details.

McLaren 675LT ‘Long Tail’ – now we see the back
The McLaren 675 LT (with ‘LT’ standing for Long Tail) was confirmed by McLaren last week to be heading for a Geneva debut as the range-topping model in what it’s now calling its ‘Super Series’, a range that includes the 650s and 625C.
Sitting in front of the Long tail sits a revised version of the 3.8 litre V8 turbo in the 650S with lightweight components and new turbos, delivering 666bhp (675PS) and 516lb/ft of torque, although the torque available in first gear will be restricted 443lb/ft to keep everything manageable.
There’s also a new crossover exhaust system made from titanium, with two circular tail pipes exiting through the exposed bodywork beneath the Long Tail Air Brake, designed to improve performance and reduce weight.
The weight saving and extra power should translate in to significant performance gains on the 650S’s 3.0 seconds to 62mph, as well as more focused handling and better track dynamics.
The McLaren 675LT – which will only be available as a Coupe – will debut at Geneva next month. By then, we should know what the price is.
