Bentley has revealed a limited run of seven special edition Continental GT Speeds to celebrate the Breitling Jet Team, with added Mulliner goodness.
Bentley and Breitling have a long association, with each capitalising on the others deep-pocketed clients to promote their brand. So this, perhaps the Bentley with the longest name, Bentley Continental GT Speed Breitling Jet Team Series Limited Edition, should be viewed as ‘Continental GT Speed sponsored by Breitling’.Not that there’s anything wrong with that, and Bentley hasn’t skimped on bringing a flavour of the Breitling Jets to the GT Speed, with Mulliner working its stuff to make the limited edition car appealing.
The paint job is is a duo-tone of Hallmark and Onyx, and Bentley has also used the exact Breitling Pantone Yellow to create highlights, not just on the outside but also on the interior, where yellow features on the sculpted seats and on the thread used for stitching, where there’s also a carbon fibre fascia panel with the Breitling Jets, and jet logos and graphics for the headrests.
The public debut for the GT Speed Breitling will be next month in Seattle at the Boeing Seafair Airshow, where each buyer will be handed their key only after they’ve been on a joy ride with the Breitling Jet Team – the world’s largest civilian display team – in one of their seven L-39 C Albatros jets, which can hit speeds of 565mph, quicker than even the potent GT Speed’s 206mph from its 626bhp W12.
