New Volvo XC90 is the Auto Express Car of the Year

The new Volvo XC90 has been getting great reviews since it launched, and it’s now been declared 2015 Car of the year by Auto Express.

The new Volvo XC90 is proving to be everything Volvo hoped it would, with massive amounts of positive reviews and very little anyone can find wrong.

From the modern take on traditional Volvo design, to the cabin that is such a nice place to be, seven seats, delightfully integrated technology and a feeling of well-being that comes close to that you get in a Range Rover, the XC90 seems to have ticked every box.

But it’s not just what you see that sets the XC90 apart, it’s what’s under the skin.

True, it’s never going to be a ‘Sporty’ SUV, but just like the Range Rover it’s more than competent on the road and does a very good job of insulating you from the cares of the world.

Not only that, but it’s 2.0 litre range of engines deliver economy and performance that you wouldn’t expect, especially the plug-in hybrid T8 version with its 400 horses and the sort of official economy figures you’d be happy with in a car half its size.

Unsurprisingly, the new XC90 has been declared ‘Car of the Year’ by Auto Express, with resounding praise for every aspect of the XC90’s abilities.

Which is going to do sales of the XC90 – which are already very strong – no harm whatsoever.
