Porsche Cayman Black edition
It’s time to get foot-fall in Porsche car showrooms again now the 65-plate rush is over, so step forward the Cayman Black Edition with extra equipment.
Porsche has decided it’s time to roll out a special edition Cayman to keep punters coming in to showrooms now the new plate rush is over. So they’ve thought really hard and come up with a really original name for this Cayman – the Black Edition. The name’s not exactly original – and nor is the trick of offering more equipment for less money than individually speccing a base car – but if you’re in the market for a Cayman, the Black Edition is probably worth a look.
Not surprisingly, the Black Edition Cayman comes with black paint and black (partial) leather, but it also gets 20″ Carrera Classic alloys, Bi-xenon headlights with PDLS, PCM with SatNav, auto wipers, parking sensors, auto anti-dazzle rear-view mirror, Sport design steering wheel, Climate, heated seats, Bluetooth and Sound Package Plus.
There may be equipment and cosmetic tweaks for the Black Edition, but elsewhere it’s business as usual with the 2.7 litre flat six engine producing 271bhp, enough to get to 62mph in 5.7 seconds, and official economy of 33.6mpg.
The Porsche Cayman Black Edition is now available in Porsche’s UK dealers (and in Ireland) for £45,989 (€82,767).
