The SEAT Ateca SUV First Edition – just 200 available
The SEAT Ateca First Edition is a limited run of just 200 Atecas with enhanced equipment and available with the 1.0 litre TSI or 1.6 litre TDI engine.
SEAT revealed UK pricing for their new Ateca just last month, with the new compact SUV starting at a very competitive £17,990. And now we get a special launch edition version too – the SEAT Ateca First Edition – which actually seems very sensibly priced too.First Edition models are usually used by car makers to charge a higher price for high spec early cars, but SEAT has actually made the Ateca First Edition an enhanced model, but one nearer the bottom of the range.
So even though you can pay up to £30k for the Ateca xCellence 2.0 TDI 190 DSG, you can have one of the new First Edition models at a more reasonable price, but although well-equipped you are limited to either the 1.0 TSI 115PS or the 1.6 TDI 115 PS.
The extras on the First Edition were decided upon after SEAT ran an online lifestyle configurator to seek crowd-sourced information from British buyers on their ideal Ateca, and the result if the First Edition.
The chosen spec for the First Edition includes 18″ bi-colour alloys, Sat Nav with an 8″ touchscreen, Keyless, electric tailgate, rear parking sensors with rear view camera, privacy glass and black roof rails.
SEAT say the chose spec would cost £3,500 on top of an Ateca SE, but the First Edition models save buyers over £1,100.
Just 200 First Edition Atecas are being made available, with the 1.0 TSI 115PS costing from £21,995 and the 1.6 TDI 115 PS First Edition from £24,305.
Officially, pre-orders for the new Ateca – including the First Edition – don’t open until 1 June (with a showroom launch on 9 September), but we don’t expectS EAT dealers will be turning you away now if you’re happy to sign on the dotted line.
