New Volvo S90 & V90 get POLESTAR Performance Package option

The new Volvo S90, and the new Volvo V90 too, are the latest Volvos to be offered with the Polestar Performance Package. Costs £835.

Now the new Volvo V90 and S90 are arriving in the hands of customers, Volvo is starting deliver additional options like this – a Polestar Performance Package for the S90 and V90

Effectively the same upgrades as the Polestar option for the D5 and T6 XC90, Volvo is limiting this initial Polestar offering to the more powerful diesel engine in the S90/V90 range.

That effectively means Volvo’s latest D5 engine with 235bhp and PowerPulse, where the Polestar upgrades offer an additional 5bhp and 15lb/ft of torque. Not enough, we’d wager, for you to be able to discern any notable increase in performance.

But Volvo want you to know that the Polestar upgrade isn’t about more raw power and torque, but about improving stuff like throttle response and gearshift speed to improve driving dynamics and feel. Still, a bit more power and torque would have been nice.

The Polestar Performance Package can be fitted to the Volvo S90 or V90 at Volvo’s UK dealers, and costs £835.
