the 2017 Ford Fiesta (pictured) is a more mature Fiesta
The 2017 Ford Fiesta is revealed today in Germany, and this is it – a more grown-up take on Ford’s current Fiesta, as well as a more upmarket one.
As we revealed at the weekend, today is the day the new 2017 Ford Fiesta is revealed – and here it is.In fact, this is the first image of Ford’s new Fiesta ahead of the full reveal later this evening, but it shows us that the new Fiesta looks like a grown-up take on the current Fiesta.
That’s not a huge shock, especially as the new Fiesta is still based on the same platform as the current Fiesta, so there’s limited room to play for Ford’s designers and engineers.
But what Ford appear to have done is make the Fiesta a bit bigger (but probably not by as much as it looks) and make it look more confident and mature, with a grille inspired by the latest Focus and lights that look an evolution.
This first photo of the new Fiesta is an ST-Line model, so under the skin is undoubtedly a revised range of small capacity diesel and petrol engines promising good performance and decent economy.
The interior will feature more upmarket and nice-to-touch materials, and offer decent screen size and more tech and connectivity.
Details of all this will be revealed this evening, when we’ll update below with specific on the new Fiesta’s design, interior and engines.
