The Nissan LEAF Black Edition (pictured) goes on sale in the UK
The 2017 Nissan LEAF Black Edition has now gone on sale in the UK with a black-themed makeover and prices starting from £26,890 (after £4.5k grant).
Back in November we reported that the Nissan Leaf Black Edition was the latest Black Edition special from Nissan – following on from 2016’s Nissan Note Black Edition and Nissan Qashqai Black Edition SV – but that it wouldn’t be on sale in the UK until March 2017.Well, March 2017 is here and Nissan has put the Leaf Balck Edition on sale in the UK, and managed to work out a price – £26,890 after the £4,500 government bribe for buyers of electric cars.
For your net £27k you’ll get a LEAF with a focus on the dark side, including 16″ black alloys, black door mirrors and black roof spoiler, as well as LED headlights and blue-stitched mats inside and a spec based on the Leaf Acenta.
Pushing the Leaf hard, Nissan is also offering 0% finance, no minimum deposit, free insurance and free servicing as well as a £1,000 deposit contribution.
Gareth Dunsmore, Nissan’s EV Director, said:
The new LEAF Black Edition perfectly showcases Nissan’s commitment to making smart, premium quality products accessible for all. This stylish black number combines dynamic styling, with Nissan’s innovative zero-emission technology to offer customers a city-savvy intelligent mobility solution.
The new Leaf Black Edition is only on sale until August, with the first 200 customers getting free Wi-Fi Hotspot.
Which, for some reason, is somewhat fewer than the 1,000 Nissan told us would get the freebie back in November.
