The first photo of the 2018 Ford Focus
The 2018 Ford Focus looks set to be revealed very soon as Ford releases the first photo of the new Focus, complete with multi-coloured livery.
It’s become normal for car makers to deliver ‘official’ teasers of new cars, and Ford is no different. But this first photo of the new Ford Focus looks to be a bit more than an early tease, and appears to be the finished article but with a multi-coloured livery to hide the lines. So it seems likely the new Focus is very close to a reveal.
The arrival is not a minute too soon, even though the Focus is still a big seller in the UK, as it will serve to further cement Ford’s sales in the UK alongside the best-selling Fiesta.
Although it’s not that easy to see details on this image, the grille appears to have been tweaked, there are new LED headlights with angled fogs below, but it’s all still recognisably Focus.
Under the skin, the new Focus looks set to stay on the same platform, but Ford are expected to squeeze a bit more cabin space and make the Focus a bit more dynamic than the current generation, but without compromising comfort.
The new Focus is likely to follow the lead of the Fiesta, pushing a bit more upmarket with the starting point higher specced, an ‘Active’ Crossover version, Vignale models and, of course, an ST at some point.
With the arrival of the 2018 Focus imminent, you’re going to get used to the #TimeToFocus hashtag everywhere you look.
