New Kia Ceed Hatch: UK Prices and Specs
The new Kia Ceed Hatch – without the apostrophe – goes on sale on 1 August in the UK, with prices starting from £18,295, and rising to £26,850 for the DCT equipped First Edition.
The new Kia Ceed Hatch arrived at the Geneva Motor Show in March – and in the UK a couple of months later – as Kia titivated their VW Golf and Ford Focus competitor. And now the new Ceed is about to go on sale in the UK, with prices starting from £18,295.There are four trim versions on offer, with the thoughtfully named ‘2’ and ‘3’ joined by the Ceed Blue Edition and Ceed First Edition to deliver a range from £18,295 to £26,850.
The entry-level ‘2’ versions come with Air Con, 16″ wheels, 7″ Touchscreen with Android Auto and CarPlay, Bluetooth and Cruise, as well as Lane Keep Assist and Forward Collision Assist. It can be had with either the 1.0 T-GDi or 1.6 CRDi and comes with a manual gearbox.
Sitting between the ‘2’ and ‘3’ models (we assume as Kia hasn’t given us prices) is the Ceed Blue Edition, which only comes with Kia’s 1.4-litre T-GDi engine but adds an 8″ Touchscreen, 17″ wheels and a Blue Flame paint job to the ‘2’ Spec.
The Ceed ‘3’ adds in 17″ wheels, 8″ Touchscreen, Climate and Parking Sensors, and the First Edition throws most of the Ceed’s toys in to the equation including leather, electric seats, JBL Sound, Smart Park, Smart Cruise, big sunroof, Keyless, Blind Spot Warning and Wireless smartphone charger.
Ceed ‘3’ can be had with the 1.0 T-GDi with manual ‘box, and the 1.4 T-GDi or 1.6 CRDi with manual or DCT ‘box. The Ceed First Edition only comes with the 1.4 T-GDi with manual or DCT.
The new Kia Ceed Hatch officially goes on sale in the UK on 1 August 2018.
