New Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid – 670 HYBRID horses for £123,349

The Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid, and Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe, arrive with 670bhp, 60mpg and prices from £123,349.

The most powerful Porsche Cayenne you can now buy isn’t a Turbo or Turbo S, but a fluffy green hybrid with official economy of almost 60mpg. But it’s a very appealing fluffy green hybrid.

In fact, it’s a pair of fluffy green hybrids because Porsche has announced not just the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid, but the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe too, both offering the same ‘green’ powertrain and the same performance.

Power comes from a 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 good for 542bhp and an electric motor integrated in to the eight-speed Tiptronic S gearbox good for another 134bhp and a combined 663lb/ft of torque available almost from the off.

All that adds up to a 0-62mph sprint in just 3.8 seconds on the way to a top speed of 183mph, with official economy and emissions in the 52-60mpg and 85-90g/km range.

The S E-Hybrid and Coupe come with a chunky spec including PDCC, PTV Plus, PCCB, 21″ alloys, Sport Chrono, Air Suspension with PASM, Wireless Apple CarPlay and auxiliary Air Con. 

The arrival of the S E-Hybrid models also sees the Cayenne E-Hybrid (and now Coupe too) back on sale with a total output of 456bhp.

The Turbo S E-Hybrid and Coupe are now on sale at Porsche’s UK dealers at £123,349 and £125,946 respectively, and the E-Hybrid and Coupe at £68,358 and £71,424.
