The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio – Alfa’s performance take on the Stelvio SUV – goes on sale in the UK with prices starting from £69,500.

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is Alfa’s performance take on their SUV, and despite being the first Stelvio model to be revealed – at the Los Angles Motor Show in 2016 – it’s the last Stelvio to go on sale in the UK.

But now Alfa has decided they’ve got everything right, so the Flagship Stelvio has gone on sale in the UK, although it’s not exactly bargain basement. In fact, the Stelvio Quadrifoglio costs a not insignificant £69,500.

That’s getting on for 10 per cent more than the Porsche Macan Turbo costs (although the Stelvio’s spec is better), but it’s probably less than the Jaguar F-Pace SVR will cost.

Power comes from the 503bhp 2.9 litre V6 Bi-Turbo, good for 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds – helped by the Stelvio’s 4WD – and on to 176mph. 

Standard specification for the Stelvio include 20″ alloys, specially profiled wheel arches, a new rear diffuser, four-pipe sports exhaust, bi-xenon headlights, leather dash and door tops, leather and Alcantara seats, carbon fibre trim and stainless steel pedals, with an 8.8″ Alfa Connect Infotainment with Apple CarPlay and android Auto.

Safety stuff includes Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Departure, Blind Spot, Integrated Braking, Front Collision warning, rear-view camera, Torque Vectoring and Active Suspension.

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is now on sale at Alfa’s UK dealers.
