GM has released a promotion video for the 556bhp Cadillac CTS-V Coupe, featuring lots of explosions and fire and the CTS-V Coupe drifting and driving.
Much of the Detroit Motor Show has been low key. The headline stuff has been mainly about ‘Eco’ cars and although there has been a bit of domestic ‘Muscle’ it’s been a bit thin on the ground. Yes, we had the Mustang GT and even the Buick Regal GS but in terms of real clout probably the most impressive has been the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe.
The Cadillac CTS-V Coupe is the shortened, two-door version of the barn-storming CTS-V. It gets the same 6.2 litre 556bhp V8 and the same astonishing performance – 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds. But it gets wrapped up in a more appealing shape and one which promises to deliver better handling as well.
And despite GM going the ‘Eco’ route with much of its offerings – even the performance orientated Buick Regal GS gets a turbo 4-pot – GM are pushing the performance credentials of the CTS-V Coupe for all they’re worth. So they’ve put together this video which is a little reminiscent of an ’80s car commercial – lots of explosions and raging fires – but which somehow suits the brute that is the CTS-V Coupe.
Enjoy the video
