Dacia Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Logan Facelift
The 2016 Paris Motor Show ill see the public debut of a trio of facelifted models from Dacia, with the Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Logan all getting a facelift for 2017.
The cars Renault’s Dacia produce may not be cutting edge, and they may be more than a little basic. But they’re as cheap as chips and sell by the container load across Europe, and Renault has no intention of letting that change any time soon, so they’re rolling out titivated facelift models for 2016 so punters keep taking notice of the Romanian bargain basement car maker.
Not satisfied with just facelifting one model at a time, Renault are rolling out facelifted versions of the Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Logan, with all three models getting a similar makeover.
It’s the usual facelift fodder for the Dacia models, with a new grille taking centre stage at the front and ably supported by new headlights with LED running lights and a titivated bumper.
Round the back there’s new tail lights, and the interior gets attention too with new materials, improved ergonomics, extra storage. And more, say Dacia. They’re just not saying what more.
Dacia are also not saying what’s going on under the bonnet of the 2017 facelift models, but they do say the new models are redesigned from the inside out, and that includes powertrains. So we must assume new engines are being drafted in from Renault.
The new Dacia Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Logan will go on sale in Dacia’s UK dealers after the Paris debut, and we’d be surprised if the impossibly low starting price of £5995 for the Sandero is increased.
