Jaguar SUV/Crossover (C-X17) gets another outing – this time in Italian Racing Red

The Jaguar SUV/Crossover (C-X17) may still be being billed as a concept, but Jaguar have given it yet another outing at the Brussels Motor Show.
The Jaguar SUV Crossover arrived at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year as a ‘Concept’, although it’s clear Jaguar has plans to make it a production reality.
Now Jaguar has arrived at the Brussels Motor Show with yet another colour take on the C-X17 – this time Italian Racing Red – although, as far as we can tell, there are no other changes to the C-X17 from the original car’s appearance.
That means the interior is a four-seat job (unlike the C-X17 at Guangzhou which got a five-seat configuration) with the same hints at Jaguar’s saloons and F-Type in its styling, lots of leather, touch-sensitive surfaces, fold-out picnic tables in the boot and a big panoramic roof and concept-sized alloys.
These constant outings for slightly titivated SUV/Crossover Concepts makes it clear Jaguar are heading to production with the C-X17 – and a saloon, coupe and estate version – based on the new iQ[Ai] platform.
The sooner the better, although any new Jaguar is probably not going to hit showrooms before early 2016.
