New Alfa Romeo MiTo and Giulietta Collezione

Alfa Romeo has revealed a new range-topping trim for the MiTo and Giulietta – Collezione – and a new Giulietta Sprint Speciale with performance equipment.

Dragging punters in to car showrooms – especially without another plate change until next spring – means car makers need to offer a bit more for a bit less – or at least give that impression – so we’re getting a couple of new, range-topping models from Alfa Romeo – the Alfa MiTo Collezione and the Alfa Giulietta Collezione – as well as a new MiTi Sprint Speciale with performance-oriented specification.

The Collezione models enter the MiTo and Giulietta ranges above the current QV Line models, with the MiTo getting 17″ Collezione Bronze alloys, Bronze door mirrors, satin-effect headlight and tail light surrounds, Collezione cloth and leather upholstery, brown stitching for the flat-bottomed steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake, Sports dials, Uconnect Sat Nav, DAB and a split folding back seat.

Engine choices are the fun 0.9 litre TwinAir with 104bhp or 1.4 litre turbo petrol with 138bhp – costing £17,660 and £19,210 respectively – with the 1.4 getting the ALFA TCT twin-clutch ‘box and uprated Brembos.

The Giulietta Collezione gets a similar titivate, with gloss black roof and door mirrors, parking sensors, 18″ alloys, Collezione leather, heated front seats, 6.5″ Uconnect Nav with voice operated navigation and DAB.

Engine choices on the Giulietta are the 1.4 litre MultiAir with 168bhp (£24,820 with the manual ‘box, £26,245 with the TCT Twin-Clutch), 2.0 JTM-2 diesel with 148bhp (£25,680) and the 173bhp version at £27,840.

As well as the Collezione versions of the MiTo and Giulietta, Alfa has also added a sporty Giulietta Sprint Speciale with sports suspension, 17″ alloys, Brembos, aluminium pedals, Quadrifoglio-style sports seats, dual-zone climate, rear parking sensors, Visibility Pack, Cruise and silver dashboard trim.

Prices start from £23,320 for the 1.4 TB MultiAir 148bhp rising to £26,340 for the 2.0 litre JTDM-2 with 173bhp and TCT ‘box.
