New Hyundai Tucson price and spec
The 2015 Hyundai Tucson – a replacement for the ix35 SUV – costs from £18,695 rising to £32,345 and goes on sale in the UK in September.
Hyundai revealed the revamped ix35 as the new Hyundai Tucson back in February, and with sales due to start in September we have full price and spec details, with the Tucson coming in a choice of five trim levels – S, SE, SE Nav, Premium and Premium SE – with two petrol and three diesel options.
Sitting on a new platform,. the Tucson is longer and wider than the ix35 – and a bit lower – and gets styling cues from the Santa Fe with a hexagonal grill, LED headlights, strong character lines, slim tail lights and a more appealing back end. It’s a convincing reworking of the successful ix35.
The entry level Tucson S (from £18,695) comes with DAB, Bluetooth, USB, 16″ alloys, Air Con and auto lights, with the SE spec adding 17″ alloys, parking sensors at the back, heated front seats, Lane Keep Assist, projection headlights with cornering and climate. The Tucson SE costs from £20,495.
The Tucson SE Nav (from £21,295) does pretty much what it says, with Hyundai’s new 8″ touchscreen Sat Nav with TMC, reversing camera, Map Care and TomTom Live, as well as Hyundai’s Speed Limit Information System
The Premium trim (from £25,045) starts pushing you deep in to Hyundai’s higher-end stuff, with leather, 19″ alloys, front parking sensors, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, auto wipers (as well as lights), Auto Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection and two heated seats in the back.
Even though Premium trim takes the Tucson upmarket, the Premium SE trim (from £28,345) adds more still, with Keyless. heated steering wheel, Smart Park Assist, Smart Tailgate, LED headlights, Panoramic roof and ventilated front seats.
Engine choices are the 1.6 litre petrol (only on S and SE), 1.7 CRDi (not on SE Premium) and the 2.0 litre CRDi with 136PS or 185PS (not on SE). There’s also the 1.6 litre T-GDi petrol with 177PS on the Premium and SE, with 4WD (4WD is also available on the 2.0 litre CRDi-engined models).
The new Hyundai Tucson goes on sale in Hyundai’s UK dealers in September 2015.
