Lamborghini are teasing a new car for the 2014 Paris Motor Show, and it looks like it could be the first hybrid Lamborghini and be called the Lamborghini Asterion.

The Lamborghini tease for a new car at the 2014 Paris Motor Show
We’ve rather got used to Lamborghini‘s definition of a ‘New Car’ at Motor Shows being a titivated take on a current model but with a huge price tag and a limited run.
All we have from Lamborghini is the image above and the tag line “Once perfection is achieved, you can just double it”. Which is cryptic, to say the least.
The image does seem to show a rear-engined coupe so this could be a 2+2 Lamborghini in the style of the Espada, it could be an SUV – the redesigned Urus, perhaps – as we can’t see the lower half, or it could be a hybrid.
All three perhaps fit the ‘Double it’ tease, but it now looks like the most likely route is a Lamborghini Hybrid.
Autoblog.nl are reporting the registration of the name Asterion (a Minotaur from Crete) recently by Lamborghini together with a logo which seems to show a lighteneing bolt through the ‘O’, perhaps signifying electric power.
But really, it’s all still guesswork until Lamborghini reveal their new (or re-hashed) car in Paris in a couple of weeks.
