H R Owen welcome the well-heeled in to the new Rolls Royce Phantom VIII
The new Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII has just had its world debut at Bonhams in Mayfair, and now it gets its showroom debut at H R Owen’s London showroom.
Rolls Royce had fun trumpeting the arrival of the new Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII at Bonhams in Mayfair, with teases galore and an exhibition of the greatest Phantoms of all time the hook.
It could be argued that the presence of Rolls-Royce’s legendary Phantoms from history rather overshadowed the arrival of the Phantom VIII, but the new Phantom does look to move the Phantom game on a chunk, even if the inherent character of the older Phantoms is a bit lacking.
The new Phantom isn’t going on sale until 2018, but as H R Owen’s London showroom is just round the corner from Bonhams, the new Phantom was allowed to roll round to take its place on HRO’s showroom floor, and for them to claim a wold showroom debut in the process for the new Phantom.
Claus Anderson, Rolls-Royce Brand Director for H R Owen, said:
It’s a true honour to be the first showroom in the world to welcome the new Phantom, which was given the red-carpet treatment it duly deserved during its time with us.
We celebrated our most successful year to date in 2016, and with the launch of this stunning model, it looks set to be a very interesting 2018, too. Phantom is the very pinnacle of luxury and being able to show off its wonderful bespoke features was fantastic. We’re incredibly excited for next year’s launch and to have the car back in.
The new Phantom does look impressive and is, no doubt and in its own way, the very pinnacle of the car maker’s craft, but the Phantom on the floor at HRO’s does look like it’s aimed at buyers who aren’t exactly ‘Gentleman’s Club’ buyers.
The exterior is a subtle enough metallic purple, but even though the interior is complimentary, its purple and white scheme does make the interior look more Boudoir than Boardroom.
Still, you can make the interior and, for that matter, the exterior look far worse by going and playing with the new Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII Configurator.

The interior of this Rolls Royce Phantom VIII is more Boudoir than Boardroom

Lots of people will pass by the Showroom to see the New Model for the first time
