The Nissan Sway Concept is teased ahead of a reveal at the Geneva Motor Show, previewing the next generation Nissan Micra, probably due late 2016.

Nissan Sway Concept teased
There was a time when the Nissan Micra was a sensible buy: well made, reliable and frugal, it ticked a lot of boxes for buyers wanting urban transport. But Nissan threw much of that away with the current Micra.
Nissan has done what they can to give the current Micra traction – they cut prices in 2012 and gave it a facelift in 2013 – but the only way Nissan is going to recover the Micra’s credibility is with an all new model – and that’s what the Nissan Sway Concept (teased above) is set to do.
In the press release, Nissan say:
Innovative design and product planning gave birth to Nissan Qashqai and Juke, two of the biggest automotive success stories of recent years. What would happen if the company applied the same radical thinking and quality standards to one of the most important sectors in Europe: the small hatchback?
Tapping in to the success of the Juke and Qashqai with a funkier design, moving production back to Europe and using a new platform is probably the only way Nissan can get the Micra back on track.
The Nissan Sway Concept will be fully revealed in Geneva next week.
