The Skoda Karoq Black Edition arrives to top the Karoq range and celebrate over a million Karoqs sold since it launched in 2017.

It’s getting on for a decade since the Skoda Karoq arrived to replace the Yeti and add to the Kodiaq as a second SUV offering, since when Skoda has delivered the Kamiq, Enyaq, Elroq, Epiq and Peaq SUVs to tick all the potential buyer boxes.

Despite Skoda now having more SUVs than you can shake a stick at, the Karoq still sells well and has racked up sales of more than a million units since it arrived, and Skoda is celebrating that fact with a new range-topping Karoq – the Skoda Karoq Black Edition.

Based on the current Sportline Edition spec, the Black Edition comes with 19″ Vega black alloys, black roof rails, door mirrors and grille, ‘sports’ bumpers, rear diffuser and black Skoda and Karoq lettering.

Inside, the Black Edition sports Sportline Suite leather, panoramic roof, LED lighting, heated steering wheel and seats, tri-zone climate and Canton Sound. Tech highlights include LED Matrix headlights, heated windscreen, Dynamic Chassis Control and Progressive steering.

Powertrain options are a 1.5-litre TSI petrol with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG, and good for 148bhp; a 2.0-litre petrol with 187bhp, seven-speed DSG and AWD; and a 2.0-litre diesel with 148bhp, seven-speed DSG and AWD.

The Karoq Black Edition goes on sale on 1 October, with prices starting at £39,160 for the Karoq Black Edition 1.5 TSI 150PS manual, rising to £46,035 for the Karoq Black Edition 2.0 TDI 150PS DSG 4×4.
