The 2012 BMW 3 Series is launched in the UK
It’s taken a few months from the debut of the 2012 BMW 3 Series back in October to actually launching it in the UK, but now BMW UK has officially launched the sixth generation of the car that underpins their sales.
Last week we had the prelude to the official UK launch with a huge gallery of UK-specific new 3 Series Photos, and there’s not a lot more to say we haven’t covered already – we even had UK prices for the new 3 Series back in October.
That said, it’s sensible to report again that although all sorts of additional models of the new 3-Series – including 4WD models – are on the way, what you have at launch is a choice of the 335i, 328i, 320d and the EfficientDynamics version of the 320d.
Standard equipment across the range is solid, with stop-start, Keyless, Bluetooth and BMW Pro Radio with 6.5″ screeen and iDrive. The Sport trim offers light alloy wheels, black gloss air intakes and grill bars, high-gloss black interior trim with red finisher, red stitched sports seats and a Sport+ mode.
The new trim levels offer more options, with BMW Modern offering 17″ alloys, matt chrome grill bars and air intakes, part leather seats, two-tone oyster finish dash and multi-function steering wheel, whilst the BMW Luxury trim provides 18″ alloys, chrome intakes and grill bars, Anthracite wood trim and Dakota leather with stitched finish.
