2013 Mazda 6 from £19,595: Paris 2012

Prices for the 2013 Mazda6 have been revealed at the Paris Motor Show. Starts at £18.595 and on sale January 2013.

If ever a car deserved to make an impact, it’s the 2013 Mazda6 with its stunning looks and clever tech. And maybe the costs – revealed to start at £18.5k – will help buyers look at the new Mazda6 with fresh eyes.

The entry point for the new Mazda6 is the 143bhp 2.0 litre petrol in SE trim with a six-speed manual box which will set you back £18,595, rising to £28,045 for the top of the tree 2.2-litre 175ps Tourer Sport Auto Nav.

Engines on offer include the 143bhp petrol, the same 2.0 litre petrol but with 163bhp and the 2.2 litre diesel which also comes in two flavours – 148bhp and 173bhp.

The new Mazda6 gets all Mazda’s new SKYACTIV tech thrown at it, including i-ELOOP (Mazda’s new brake energy regeneration system)and i-Stop (stop-start) which conspires to deliver 68.9mpg and emissions of just 108g/km in the most frugal Mazda 6 model.

The new Mazda6 – as both a saloon and estate – goes on sale in the UK in January 2013.
