The 2013 Volkswagen Passat R-Line has arrived to add a bit more style in to the Passat – saloon and estate – and there’s a new 1.4 TSI petrol engine option too.

Now we get the VW Passat R-Line treatment (just as we did with the old Passat) with a bespoke body kit offering more butch bumpers front and back – and cornering fogs in the front bumper – side skirts, 18″ Kansas alloys, spoiler at the back, lowered suspension, extra chrome, Bi-xenon headlights with LED running lights and privacy glass to give the Passat a much more appealing look.
Youc an opt for R-Line trim with the 1.6 litre 105PS diesel (manual), 2.0 litre 140PS diesel (manual or DSG) and a new turbocharged and supercharged 1.4 litre TSI.
The new supercharged turbo 1.4 litre TSI comes with 158bhp and is a replacement for the old 1.8 litre TSI, offering the same power but much better fuel economy/emissions at 45.6mpg/144g/km. The new 1.4 TSI will also replace the 1.8 TSI in the VW CC.
The Passat R-Line is now open for ordering and an R-Line bodykit can also be specified for the Passat Highline and Sport for £900 including fitting.
