The new Hyundai i30 – revealed at the Paris Motor Show last year – goes on sale in the UK on March 1, costing from £16,995 for the i30 S 1.0 T-GDi 120PS.

If the current generation of the Hyundai i30 is the car that saw Hyundai match the sector leaders – the VW Golf and Ford Focus – the new Hyundai i30 has the potential be the car to which others in the sector stand comparison.

The entry-level i30 S 1.0 T-GDi 120PS with 6 speed manual costs £16,995 and gets 15″ alloys, LED running lights, USB, electric windows and driver’s seat height adjustment.

Move up to SE trim and the i30 SE 1.0 T-GDi 120PS costs £18,695 and adds 16″ alloys, fogs, DAB with 5″ touch screen, rear park assist, rear view camera and leather steering wheel. You can also have the i30 SE with the 1.6 CRDi 110PS for £19,640.

Next up the i30 ladder is the i30 Premium, costing from £22,195.00 for the i30 Premium 1.4 T-GDi 140PS manual and £22,445 for the Premium 1.6 CRDi 110PS manual. Both can be had with the DCT ‘box for an extra £1k.

Extra goodies the i30 Premium trim offers include 17″ alloys, Climate, electronic parking brake, privacy glass, heated front seats, electric driver’s seat, LED headlights and tail lights and front and rear parking assist system.

Top of the i30 tree is the i30 Premium SE which adds panoramic sunroof, leather seats and heated steering wheel. Prices are £1,300 more than the i30 SE.

The 2017 Hyundai i30 officially goes on sale at Hyundai’s UK dealers on 1 March.
