2017 Suzuki Swift goes on sale in the UK in June
The 2017 Suzuki Swift will go on sale in the UK in June, with the a new mild hybrid option and prices starting at £10,999 for the Swift SZ3.
The latest Suzuki Swift was revealed in Japan at the end of 2016, followed by a European debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, and now it’s about to go on sale in the UK priced from £10,999 for the Swift SZ3.Suzuki lovers may twig that that’s a chunk more than the entry price of the current Sift, but it seems Suzuki, at least for now, isn’t offering an entry-level SZ2 spec. Which explains the apparent price jump.
That entry-level SZ3 Swift comes with Suzuki’s 1.2 litre Dualjet engine with a manual gearbox, Air Con, leather steering wheel, DAB, Bluetooth, privacy glass, LED running lights, 15″ wheels and front electric windows all in the price.
The Swift SZ-T can be had with the 1.0 litre Boosterjet engine (complete with Suzuki’s SHVS mild hybrid system) and gets a rear view camera, Smartphone link, 16″ alloys and fogs, whilst the SZ5 adds climate, 16″ polished alloys, Sat Nav, Keyless, rear electric windows and Advanced forward detection. It can also be had with a six-speed auto ‘box, not that you’d want it.
The new Suzuki Swift has decent specs – even if its £10,999 to £15,499 price range is up a bit – and its new platform, improved space, wider track and improved stance should make it an even better car than the, very good, outgoing model.
The new Suziki Swift goes on sale in Suzuki’s UK showrooms on 1 June 2017, with prices from £10,999 for the 1.2-litre SZ3 Dualjet with manual gearbox, rising to £15,849 for the 1.0-litre SZ5 Boosterjet with an auto ‘box.
