2017 Suzuki SX4 S-Cross Facelift (pictured) heading for Paris
The Suzuki SX4 S-Cross is getting a facelift for 2017 which will debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, ahead of which Suzuki release the first photo.
The current Suzuki SX4 S-Cross arrived just three years ago as Suzuki delivered an addtion to their range aimed at taking on cars like the Nissan Qashqai in the ever-growing compact and urban SUV market. And it was credible. It offered a choice of just two engines – a 118bhp petrol and a 118bhp diesel, FWD or 4WD and a decent spec. It also looked appealing enough to grab its place in the market.
Three years on, the 2017 Suzuki SX4 S-Cross is coming with a facelift, and will be getting its public debut at the Paris Motor Show in early October. But Suzuki want you to see what it looks like ahead of that, so they’ve released a single photo (above) of the titivated SX4 S-Cross.
Suzuki aren’t exactly being forthcoming on detail at this point, but the facelift looks to follow the usual route of a revised nose with tweaks to the bonnet, lights, bumper and grille, new alloys, no doubt revisions at the back too and some new colour options. Inside is likely to come in for a titivate too, with more upmarket materials.
Under the bonnet is probably the biggest change for the SX4, with 1.0 litre and 1.4 litre BoosterJet turbo engines replacing the 1.6 litre petrol, although the 118bhp diesel remains.
It’s possible the new downsized petrol units will change the current starting price for the SX4 S-Cross (£14k – rising to £25k), but we won’t know until the new SX4 gets its debut.
