New Audi A3 price from £19,205

Audi has revealed that the new 3 door Audi A3 will cost from £19,205 with first UK cars due in September 2012.

The new Audi A3 debuted at the Geneva Motor Show back in March and, despite looking almost the same as the old A3, is actually an all new offering from Audi.

The new A3 gets a longer wheelbase thanks to the new MBQ platform, which gives more cabin room despite the almost coupe-like looks and a drop in weight thanks to aluminium bumpers and bonnet and high-strength steel.

Prices for the A3 will start from £19,205 for the 1.4 TFSI rising to £26,560 for the 1.8 TFSI. There is also a 2.0 TDI option as the third of the engine options available at launch.

Trim levels are SE, Sport and S Line with even the SE trim level getting alloys, AirCon, MMI and Bluetooth. The Sport models also get bigger alloys (17″), Adaptive Dynamics (which allows you to choose between Comfort, Auto, Dynamic and Efficiency), sports seats and Climate.

Dig deeper for the new A3 S Line and , apart from a ride that will still probably require weekly visits to the chiropractor, you’ll get 18″ alloys, an S Line body kit, xenons with LED running lights, part leather sports seats and a S Line steering wheel.

The new Audi A3 is now on sale in the UK with first customer cars due in September.
