Peugeot Onyx Hybrid Supercar Concept at Paris. UPDATED: Photos

Peugeot are teasing what appears to be the Peugeot Onyx Concept on their Facebook page, a hybrid supercar heading for the Paris Motor Show.

We already know that production versions of the Peugeot 208 GTi and Peugeot XY luxury 208 are heading for the Paris Motor Show, but it appears Peugeot will have something a bit more dramatic on offer.

Peugeot has revealed a teaser photo of a new concept car for Paris on their Facebook page this afternoon, and a bit of digging around French motoring web site turns up more detail.

The consensus seems to be that this is a mid-engined hybrid supercar concept from Peugeot with a 256hp 1.6 litre turbo and an electric motor, for a combined power output of 376hp.

The engine is rear/mid-mounted and the electric motor drives the front wheels with the potential not just for lots of grip and good handling but fuel economy that would make a ‘Green’ smile.
