The Volvo V40 Cross Country will cost from £22,595 for the V40 Cross Country D2 SE which comes as standard with 16″ alloys, folding door mirrors with puddle lights, rain sensor, Volvo’s textile/T-Tec upholstery, tread plates and silver roof rails. That’s only £1250 more than a Volvo V40 SE and half the price difference in Sweden. A veritable bargain.
If the SE trim isn’t gltzy enough for you, you can opt for the Cross Country Lux which adds in leather, bending Xenons, 17″ alloys, LED running lights, reading lights in the back and theatre lighting. That will push the price up, with the range-topping T5 Geartronic Cross Country Lux Nav with All-Wheel Drive costing £33,875.
Volvo’s other new offering for the new V40 is the R-Design pack which adds the usual Volvo fare of a subtle body mods such as new bumpers, 17″ alloys and R-Design logos dotted around. Starting point for the V40 R-Design is the D2 R-Design at £22,295 rising to £31,390 for the T5 Geartronic R-Design Lux Nav.
Volvo say they have opened order books already for both the V40 R-Design and V40 Cross Country with first customer cars arriving in the UK in January 2013.
