You’ll now be able to park your Supercar at the Goodwood FoS

The 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed is introducing forward parking for supercars this year, with supercar owners able to park in the Goodwood site – for a fee.

The 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed is looming, and apart from the usual mix of petrol, faces and cars there’s a new innovation to get more supercars in front of the petrolheads that flock to Sussex for a summer fix of high octane fuel – forward parking for supercars.

If you’ve ever been to Goodwood – and if you haven’t, you should – then you’ll be a little overwhelmed with the number of supercars littering the car park. Well, a field that’s a bit of a walk away from the main action, and where everyone parks.

But the 2013 FoS is offering a new option for supercar owners so their pride and joy is treated a little better than the run of the mill visitors’ cars and becomes a part of the Goodwood event. There’s a cost, but it’s not huge.

For £60 (£50 on Friday) supercar owners can apply to park in the Supercar Forward Parking area which sits just up from the Formula One paddocks, where they can park their cars, miss out on the walk from the normal car parks and have their cars be an integral part of the FoS experience.

As this is Porsche’s 50th anniversary year, the FoS organisers have decided they’ll give consideration to any Porsche 911 as well as true Porsche exotica, but on the whole your car will need to be something special to be considered, and you’ll have to be quick if you want to book space as only 300 cars a day are eligible.
