2015 Toyota Auris facelift revealed – debuts at Geneva 2015

The Toyota Auris is getting a facelift for 2015, and will debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show alongside the new Toyota Avensis facelift.

Toyota are busy updating their models, and we already know the 2015 Toyota Avensis is in for a bit of a titivate, and it will be joined on the floor at the Geneva Motor Show next week by a facelift for the Avenisis.

It doesn’t look like the Auris – and the Auris Estate – will get as comprehensive a makeover as the Avensis, but there are changes to the exterior and interior, and new engines.

At the front, the new Auris gets a new bumper, new grill and new headlights and, although Toyota hasn’t sent us a photo to show it, we’re guessing the back end will also be in for a tweak or two to bumper and lights.

Inside, Toyota say the cabin has been upgraded and there’s new comfort and safety equipment, but that’s about all they’re ready to say ahead of Geneva.

Toyota also say the 2015 Auris will still have the hybrid powertrain at the heart of its range, but that there will be new diesel and petrol engines with better performance and improved efficiency. We’re guessing they will be include the BMW diesel we’re expecting to see in the new Avensis.

No doubt Toyota will be more forthcoming with details when the tweaked Auris arrives in Geneva next week.
