The Lexus NX gets a makeover for 2026 with next-gen Hybrid Tech, titivated looks, an updated interior and new tech.
But now we get a new Lexus NX (well, a substantially updated NX) which comprehensively updates the NX whilst remaining familiar for buyers; if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
The powertrain options for the new NX remain the 350h Hybrid and 450h+ PHEV, but with the latest sixth-generation Hybrid tech which boosts efficiency, with the 450h getting a bigger 23kWh battery good for 60 miles of EV range, and able to accommodate DC fast charging, as well as power output upped to 303bhp.
The 350h gets more efficient too, with improved battery cooling enabling a smaller battery and improved performance, with both models benefiting from slightly lowered suspension, tweaked steering, revised suspension, and increased rigidity.
Although still instantly recognisable as a Lexus NX, the new NX does get a new grille, new LED running lights, new front and rear bumpers, and tweaked alloys, with the interior getting a new 12.3″ driver display and 14″ infotainment – and sadly losing real buttons – and stitched leather.
Expected to go on sale in spring 2027 with the option of Business, Executive, Luxury and F Sport trim levels. Expect a bit of a price rise.
