Renaultsport has revealed the Megane 275 Cup-S as a cut-price, no-frills Megane 275 with most of the option boxes unticked but still with the 271bhp 2.0 litre engine.
A new Renault Megane is on the way, which means a new Megane Renaultsport will be too, but ahead of that Renault is adding extra enticement to get buyers in to the impressively performing Renaultsport Megane with a couple of new offerings – the Megane 275 Cup-S and the 275 Nav.But it’s the 275 Cup-S that will grab headlines with a starting price of £23,935, £5k less than the Trophy thanks to a lower spec, although it still has the Cup Pack as standard although it does forego stuff like leather and climate but still has Air Con, Cruise, Bluetooth and the option of Ohlins dampers.
If you want your Renaultsport Megane with more toys, then Renault has that covered too with the new 275 Nav.
The 275 Nav comes with auto lights and wipers, Climate, Keyless, parking sensors, better sound system, heated leather seats, privacy glass and adjustable driver’s seat, all of which adds up to £1700 worth of additional kit for a starting price of £25,935.
But whether you opt for the pared-down Cup S or the Nav, you still get the 271bhp 2.0 litre four-cylinder with 265lb/ft of torque, a top speed of 158mph and a 0-62mph of 6.0 seconds, and a proper seat-of-you-pants exciting drive.
The new Renaultsport Megane 275 Cup-S and Nav are now on sale, with first customer cars due in November.
