2016 Ferrari FF Facelift tease
We have a teaser image for the 2016 Ferrari FF facelift which is expected to debut at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este this month.
The Ferrari FF is now Ferrari’s oldest car, so we know a facelift is on the way. And it looks like we’ve got the first look at the new Ferrari with this photo (above) revealed in a ‘2016 Outlook’ document for investors.Frankly, as you’d expect from a teaser image, we don’t learn a lot, but if this is the 2016 FF then it’s clearly getting a new nose with new headlights. In other words, the usual bumpers, lights and alloys tweaks to mark out a new model.
But Ferrari will go further than that with the new FF, and we’re expecting tweaks to the rather odd four-wheel drive setup, an increase in power for the 6.3 litre V12 under the bonnet from the current 651bhp, and probably a new eight-speed dual clutch gearbox too.
Inside, we’re expecting tweaks to the cabin to take inspiration from the new Ferrari 488, with a new Infotainment screen and other updates.
It’s also possible – and has been rumoured for some time – that Ferrari could be putting the new twin-turbo V8 from the 488 under the bonnet to create an ‘entry-level’ FF.
Of course, especially as this ‘new’ Ferrari is scheduled for a reveal at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, it may not be the facelift for the FF at all, but a one-off special to tickle the fancy of Villa D’Este visitors.
All will be revealed soon.
