2016 Renault Scenic first OFFICIAL photo
The 2016 Renault Scenic has been revealed in a single photo ahead of its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, and it’s turned in to a Crossover/SUV.
There was a time, a decade or two ago, when the big market was MPVs, and the Renault Scenic was a big seller throughout Europe. But car tastes have changed, and the Scenic no longer enjoys the sales it once did as buyer fall in love with SUVs and Crossovers. So the 2016 Renault Scenic – which will debut at Geneva next week – is being re-invented as an MPV that’s more like a Crossover.
The single photo of the new Scenic (above) released by Renault today shows a Scenic that really does look more like a Captur than a Scenic, with wider track, raise ride height and big alloys.
Renault is keeping its powder dry on the new Scenic for Geneva, but they do say they view the new Scenic as a re-invention of the MPV, that it will have a three-part panoramic windscreen and, as mentioned, a wider track and raised ride height, and with a shorter rear overhang.
The new Renault Scenic will debut next week in Geneva, and will almost inevitably be followed by a seven-seat Grand Scenic.
