The Range Rover Evoque is being upgraded for 2017 with new technology, and there’s a Limited Edition Evoque Ember model from £47,200.
Land Rover is updating the Range Rover Evoque for the 2017 model year, but rather than a facelift it’s a case of some new technology and a new Graphite Design Pack, and there’s a new Limited Edition Evoque – the Range Rover Evoque Ember – available for just three months this summer.Land Rover has added Low Traction Launch to the suite of abilities from the Evoque’s all-terrain ability which delivers the optimum pull away or launch on slippery surfaces by controlling the amount of torque applied to mitigate wheel spin and maximise grip.
Also added (and not before time) is the new InControl Touch Pro Infotainment system (which we’ve already seen on the Evoque Convertible) which promises to be both quicker and more intuitive and comes as standard on the Evoque HSE Dynamic, HSE Dynamic Lux and Autobiography models.
Importantly, the new touchscreen behaves like a smartphone (which should make it easier to use) with swipes and pinches, a 21:9 widescreen format and 1280×542 px resolution.
Land Rover’s Route Planner App will let you pre-plan journeys which will then sync to the car, share ETA updates to those expecting you, offers high def 3D and a bird’s eye view surround camera for easy parking.
Other upgrades include Auto High Beam Assist and powers seats on the SE Tech trim and above, with HSE Dynamic and above getting the InControl Touch Pro, InControl Apps and Remote and All Terrain Progress Control.
New Graphic Design Pack for the 2017 Range Rover Evoque.
As well as the technology upgrades there’s also the new Graphite Design Pack for Evoque Biography which offers 20″ Satin Technical Grey alloys, Dynamic Grille in Navik Black with Dorchester Grey surround (also on the tow eye outer covers front and back).
A black contrast roof, bonnet and tailgate lettering, darkened lights, black exhaust tips, black detailing on the door mirrors, bonnet louvres, fogs, vents and tailgate finisher complete the Graphite makeover. All that will cost you £2,125.
Range Rover Evoque Ember Special Edition
To celebrate the 2017 Evoque updates – and to mark 520,000 sales to date – there’s also a new Limited Edition Range Rover Evoque Ember based on the HSE Dynamic and with a red and black theme.
A Firenze Red roof contrasts with the Santorini Black body, there’s unique ‘EVOQUE’ tailgate badging and ‘RANGE ROVER’ bonnet badging, Satin Black 20″ alloys, black exhaust tips, Navik Black grille, darkened lights, Ebony Black Sports Seats with red stitching and black and red premium carpets.
The Evoque Ember goes on sale in the summer for three months and costs from £47,200.
