The Range Rover with new SVO Design Kit
Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations has put together a Design Kit for the Range Rover, turning your entry-level Rangie in to something very different.
Gerry McGovern, Land Rover’s Design boss, has made it clear recently that he wants to see the back of companies like Overfinch, Kahn, Revere et al piggybacking on Land Rover’s stunning products and making big profits. He’s vowed to chase them out of the industry, and this – the Range Rover SVO Design Kit – looks to be a pretty good start, offering to turn your entry-level Range Rover Vogue in to something that looks rather like an SVAutobiography, all for £10,400.
For your more than £10k you get a kit which includes new bumpers, quad tailpipes, new side vents, new side sills and a bespoke grill.
If you like your Range Rover to be loud, but don’t want to splash out on an SVAutobiography or Overfinch, this Design Kit looks a good shout.
The SVO Design Kit can be ordered on a new car and specified in all accent finishes – Atlas, Dark Atlas, Graphite Atlas and Gloss Black – and on every trim level from Vogue to SVAutobiography Dynamic. Although the Vogue will give the most bang out of this particular £10k spend.
But it’s not just a new car option as it can also be fitted to an SWB Range Rover from 2013, and your local Land Rover dealer will fit it.
At a price, no doubt.
