Top Ten LEAST depreciating HYBRID cars – Toyota C-HR at the top

With more hybrid cars available then ever, it’s important to know which will hold their value. We have the top ten least depreciating hybrid cars in the UK.

Hybrid car sales may be growing as buyers look for an alternative to diesel-engined cars, but many are reluctant to jump in to a hybrid because they’re a bit of an unknown, and a bit complicated.

But really, Toyota, and Lexus, have been delivering hybrid cars for so long now that they really are bullet proof, and even new arrivals to the game – like Kia and Hyundai – are delivering hybrid cars which simply just work.

So if you’re tempted, and you should be, by a hybrid car, which models are the best buys in the UK in terms of depreciation?

Thankfully, CAP HPI haS crunched the numbers for us, and it seems buying the right hybrid car is a good way to keep hold of as much of your car’s value as possible in the first year.

Topping the list is the Toyota C-HR which managed to hold on to almost 85 per cent of its value after a year and 10,000 miles, followed by the Lexus NX at getting on for 80 per cent. The fact they are both very good cars is a bonus.

Unsurprisingly, Toyota and Lexus dominate the list (below) with six cars, but Hyundai and Kia get a look in, as do Suzuki.

But with even the Hyundai Ioniq in 10th spot losing just over 25 per cent of its value after a year, it seems hybrid car depreciation is not an obstacle to making the jump from diesel.
