Rolls-Royce Wraith Luminary Collection – Shooting Stars and Morning Light

The Rolls-Royce Wraith Luminary Collection is a run of just 55 bespoke Wraiths, featuring bespoke lighting innovations, a Shooting Star Headliner and a ‘Sunrise’ Sunburst Grey paint job.

Rolls-Royce believes the future of the Brand revolves around more and more individual customisations as the wealthy seek to be even more individual with their choice of cars.

But one down from individual customisation sits limited run models, and the latest of these is the Rolls-Royce Wraith Luminary Collection, a limited run of just 55 cars featuring new lighting innovations, a paint job – Sunburst Grey – which is said to mimic morning light and a shooting star headliner.

The Tudor Oak finish on the interior is sourced from the Czech Republic – apparently renowned for its dense grain and depth of colour – and is illuminated by 176 LEDs which permeate light through an intricately perforated design.

The starlight headliner may not be a new innovation from Rolls-Royce, but in the Wraith Luminary it gets 1,340 fibre optic lights which, at the touch of a button, will randomly burst eight different shooting stars through the starlight display.

The transmission tunnel and door panels are covered in a handwoven stainless steel mesh just 0.08mm thick, and the seats are covered in tan and anthracite leather, with the option to have the ‘boss’ seats in the back covered in Seashell leather instead if you wish.

The paint job is Sunburst Grey which, say Rolls-Royce, with the flat grey colour coming to life when hit by the sun, revealing deep copper tones and emotive warmth. Or at least that’s what Rolls-Royce say.

There’s no word on price for the Wraith Luminary, but it’s almost academic. It’ll start at a chunk over the £250k a Wraith normally starts at, and will rise depending on just how bespoke each of the 55 buyers want their car to be.
