New Hyundai Tucson on sale in the UK on 26 July

The newly facelifted 2018 Hyundai Tucson arrived in March at the New York Motor Show and goes on sale in the UK this month with prices from £21,845.

Hyundai’s Tucson was treated to a bit of a facelift earlier this year, and perhaps the biggest news, beyond the cosmetic titivation, was the arrival of a 48V hybrid version. And now the new Tucson is about to go on sale in the UK.

Starting point for the new Tucson is the S Connect 1.6 GDI at £21,845, which is pretty competitive for a decent family SUV, although if you want to get in to a Tucson with the new 48V Hybrid you’re going to have to fork out a chunk more; it’s only available in Premium and Premium SE spec and costs £32,945 and £34,945 respectively.

Engine choices are the entry-level 1.6 GDi petrol with 130bhp and a turbo T-GDi with 175bhp, and diesel options of a 1.6 litre turbo diesel with 113bhp or 131bhp and a 2.0 litre diesel with 183bhp and that 48V mild hybrid.

The entry-level S models come with DAB, Android Auto, CarPlay, rear view camera, Bluetooth, 16″ alloys, Climate and auto lights, with SE Nav trim adding 17″ alloys, Privacy glass, roof rails, LED tail lights, parkings ensors, auto wipers, 8″ Touchscreen and Cruise.

Tucson Premium models add 18″ alloys, Keyless, wireless Smartphone charging and KRELL sound, and Premium SE goes further with Bi-LED headlights, Adaptive Cruise, Around View Monitor, Panoramic glass roof, heated steering wheel and front seats and smart tailgate.

Colour options across the new Tucson range are Polar White, Fiery Red, Platinum Silver, White Sand, Moon Rock, Micron Grey, Phantom Black, Olivine Grey, Stellar Blue and Champion Blue.

The new Hyundai Tucson officially goes on sale at Hyundai’s UK dealers on 26 July 2018.
