Mercedes EQ C Electric SUV interior
The Mercedes EQ C Electric SUV will be revealed next week, and Mercedes are back for another tease for their first EQ car with a look at the interior.
The Mercedes EQ C is due to be revealed next week (4 September 2018), so the tease for its arrival started a few days ago with a look at the front of Mercedes’ new electric SUV.Now we get another tease from Mercedes, and this one gives us a clear look at the interior, or at least of the dash. And it looks quite familiar.
In fact, the dash of the EQ C looks rather like the dash of the new A-Class, with Mercedes latest MBUX infotainment and screens spreading across in front of the driver. So it seems the interior of the EQ C will be more mainstream Mercedes than the exterior.
If we judge the production looks of the EQ C on the EQ C concept, it seems Mercedes are intent on delivering an electric SUV which stands out from its ICE powered siblings, rather than simply delivering an electric version of the GLC. Is that the best way to get buyers in to EVs? We’re not convinced.
Still, just like the Jaguar I-Pace and Audi e-tron, the Mercedes EQ C will come with a range of around 300 miles and up to 400bhp, putting it right in the same spec range as both the Jaguar and Audi.
There’s still time for more EQ C teases to come.
