New Mercedes A-Class SALOON UK Prices and Specs

The new Mercedes A-Class saloon is now on sale in the UK, with prices starting at £27,875 for the A 180 d Sport. First customer cars expected in early 2019.

Although the Mercedes glitz and gloss at the moment is focusing on electric cars – with yesterday’s debut of the EQC – it’s ICE cars which will be the mainstay of Mercedes’ sales for the foreseeable future. Like the new Mercedes A-Class Saloon.

Bucking the trend that has seen car buyers moving away from saloons and in to SUVs, Mercedes seems convinced there’s still a market so, for the first time, we get an A-Class Saloon in the UK – and it’s now on sale.

Prices for the new A-Class Saloon start from £27,875 for the A 180 d Sport, and rise to £29,295 for the A 200 AMG Line. Both come with the 7G-DCT auto ‘box as standard.

For now, the choice is either the A 180 d or A 200, and trim choice is limited to either Sport or AMG Line models, but there are option packs available too.

The Executive Eqipment Package costs £1,395 and adds 10.25″ media display, Active Parking Assist, heated front seats and Mirror package, and the Premium Equipment spec (£2,395) adds a 10.25″ cockpit display to the 10.25″ media display, Keyless and better sound.

Premium Plus adds to the other two packages with electric front seats, Multibeam LED headlights and Panoramic sunroof for £3,595.

Now on sale, Mercedes say first customer cars should arrive in early 2019.
