We have a gallery of leaked images of the Lexus LF-Ch ahead of the premium Compact Hybrid’s reveal at Frankfurt.

It’s been a bit of a ‘Leaky’ day for car makers today. But that’s inevitable so close to a major motor show like Frankfurt. This morning we had leaked pictures of the Mercedes SLS AMG – although we have our doubts about that leak. We wonder – just wonder, mind you – if it could have been a spoiler my Mercedes for the new McLaren MP4-12C.

And tonight we see a whole raft of pictures of the new Lexus LF-Ch. Lexus has controlled this to date – except for the leaked front view of the LF-Ch – by first issuing a teaser sketch and then a rear 3/4 view of the LF-CH. But now their powder is well and truly damp for Frankfurt.

But we still don’t know what engine options Lexus has for the LF-Ch beyond the Hybrid, which will be based on the Prius/Auris Hybrid setup. But if they’re aiming at a younger crowd they are going to have to come up with a hot version of some sort to give the LF-Ch a bit of credibility. Otherwise it will just be a Prius in fancy clothes.

But it’s growing on me.
