New Kia Soul TEASED ahead of LA Motor Show debut
The new Kia Soul is teased ahead of a debit at the Los Angles Motor Show, with evolutionary styling and an electric drivetrain version.
We’ve been expecting the new Kia Soul to debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show this month, but now it’s official.Kia has released a single photo of the new Soul (above) which tells us nothing much, but don’t expect the Soul to look massively different; this will be an evolution of the Soul’s boxy design, not a revolution.
Kia themselves say the new Soul will be immediately recognisable, will be even more versatile and will be fun to drive.
It will come with a a choice of powertrains, but there are rumours Kia is intending to bring only the electric version to the UK, complete with an electric set-up borrowed from the e-Niro (and Hyundai Kona). But it seems that may only be the smaller 39kWh version.
But that would mean an electric Soul with a range of around 200 miles, decent performance and a price tag which will undercut that of the e-Niro.
Kia say the all-electric Soul will go on sale in the UK and Europe next year, but we’ll get full details once the new Soul has made its official debut in Los Angeles.
