Audi Q4 e-Tron Concept
The Audi Q4 e-Tron Concept, revealed at the Geneva Motor Show, is a smaller electric SUV from Audi, built on VW’s MEB Platform and heading for production.
We’re just starting to see the arrival of the Audi e-tron – Audi’s first electric car – but we’re now getting a look at what else Audi has in the pipeline with this – the Audi Q4 e-tron.The Q4 e-tron is a smaller car that the full-fat e-tron, built on VW’s MEB Platform for electric cars and heading for production late next year, all ready to take on cars like the new Tesla Model Y.
The Q4 e-Tron comes with an 82kWh battery pack – weighing half a tonne – sitting under the floor and powering a pair of electric motors – one at the front and one at the back – with a combined 302bhp and 339lb/ft of torque.
Audi say that’s enough for a 0-62mph of 6.3 seconds and a top speed limited to 112mph (is the 112mph limit going to become a thing?), with a range of 280 miles and a recharge time to 80 per cent of half an hour (assuming you can find a charger delivering 125kW).
Still looking very much like any other Audi SUV, the Q4 is a bit bigger than a Q3 with design cues from the bigger e-tron and a dash layout which looks similar to the e-tron GT.
