Volkswagen ID. Space Vizzion is another electric VW ID model heading for production

The VW ID. Space Vizzion is teased in a new sketch as another electric VW ID model heading for production as a large electric estate car.

You might as well get used to VW ID electric models popping up on a regular basis as VW reinvents itself as ‘Electric VW’, and this is the latest – the VW ID. Space Vizzion.

The ID. Space Vizzion is apparently the seventh electric ID model teased so far (we’d lost count) and will arrive at the Los Angelse Motor Show later this month, and is teased in the photo above.

It’s an estate take on the ID Vizzion we’ve already seen and looks set to be one of the firts electric estate cars we’ve seen to date, although how that will fit in to VW’s plans to sell it in the US – which is normally averse to ‘Wagons’ – as well as China and Europe we’re not sure.

VW say the ID. Space Vizzion offers the dynamics of a Grand Tourer and the space of an SUV (or the space of an estate car, perhaps?) and is based, as are all the ID cars, on VW’s new electric MEB Platform, and boasts a completely digitised interior with sustainable fabrics. 

The ID. Space Vizzion will probably hit VW showrooms in 2021, and expect similar EV powertrains to all the other EVs VW is planning to chuck at us as it tries to make everyone and his dog buy an electric car.
