Fiat launches the Abarth 595 70th Anniversary Edition to celebrate the notable anniversary, and there’s a new 595 Essesse as well.
The UK loves a Fiat Abarth (well, expect the 124), so where better to have a special model to celebrate 70 years of the brand? Step forward the Abarth 595 70th Anniversary Edition.
Based on Abarth’s 595 Comeptizione, the 70th Anniversary Edition comes with a valved Recodr Monza exhausts, uprated Brembos, Sabalt RacingS eats and a 7″ infotainment screen complete with Abarth telemetry so you can make yourself smile.
The celebration Abarth 595 comes with the same 1.4 litre four-pot good for 178bhp as the Competizione, enough to sccot the little pocket rocket to 62mph in 6.7 seconds and on to 140mph (if you’re feeling brave). It’ll cost you from £21,795 if you want the tin top, £23,795 if you want the top to go down.
Also new is the resurrection of the 595 Essesse which comes with 17″ Supersport alloys, Akrapovic Exhaust, limited slip diff, perforated Brembos, oversized calipers and uprated air filter.
Other titivations include Sabalt Racing seats, carbon fibre pedals, a set of stripes and white door mirrors. It costs from £25,295 (£27,295 for the convertible).
And ap[art from the actual Abarth 595 70th Anniversary Edition, every Abarth 595 in the range will come with 70th Anniversary badges this year. Just so you know 2019 is the 70th Anniversary.
The titivated Abarth 595 range is now on sale in the UK, starting at £16,495 for the Abarth 595 1.4 T-Jet 145hp, rising to £27,295 for the aforementioned Abarth 595C Esseesse 1.4 T-Jet 180hp.
