Photos of the 2012 Vauxhall Ampera, the European version of the Chevy Volt which hits UK showrooms in May 2012 from £34,995.
The photos of the Ampera show a decent-looking, mid-sized family saloon, but nothing exceptional. What you are paying for is the range-extender technology, but it’s a big price to pay for a car which offers nothing exceptional apart from the ability to do a few miles in EV mode.
Still, the photos of the Ampera are interesting, if nothing else than to show just how unexceptional it looks for the same money as a Porsche Boxster.
