A tease for a new Infiniti QX30 has arrived as Infiniti plan to take on cars like the BMW X1 and Mercedes GLA. Debuts at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.

Infiniti QX30 Crossover Concept (pictured) teased for Geneva
We’ve known since last summer that an Infiniti QX30 will go in to production in Sunderland alongside the new Q30 Hatchback as Infiniti look for more sales by taking on cars like the Mercedes GLA and BMW X1.
The QX30 at Geneva may be a concept, but with Infiniti planning to start building the Q30 later in 2015, it seems likely the QX30 Concept won’t be too far off production form and will start rolling of the Nissan production line in Sunderland early in 2016.
Under the skin of the new QX30 will be the same Mercedes MFA platform that underpins the Mercedes GLA and A-Class, and it seems likely Infiniti will also be offering Mercedes engines too.
Infiniti say the new QX30 is a premium compact crossover with a design that “…looks beyond the practicality and conformity expected of the segment”. Which we take to mean it will be more about how it performs than how much space it has.
We’ll find out more when the new Infiniti QX30 arrives in Geneva.
